Waspbane – what are they and what they do

As we approach summer wasps will become a problems for our customers. This will be especially bad this year with the effects of Covid-19 meaning we will be spending more time outside.

We offer a range of preventative solutions to minimise the impact of wasps on your business. One of these is Waspbanes; these traps catch and remove wasps allowing customers to enjoy their food and drink in peace.

This is the best time of the year to be setting them out to catch as many Queens as possible reducing the risk of a nest developing, they also keep working throughout the whole season reducing distress to your customers and staff. Below is an example of a large garden setup which was unusable because of the high levels of workers trying to feed from food, drinks, tree sap and aphids.

The WaspBane wasp trap is a two part trap. The bottom part is a self sealing disposable bait chamber designed to hold the bait and dead wasps. The top vapour chamber is a reusable chamber designed to attract and catch wasps. The WaspBane wasp trap has a bait system which lasts all season long which means it does not need re-baiting and needs little or no maintenance. The bait chamber is designed to be thrown away at the end of the season to be replaced with a new bait chamber the following year. The WaspBane wasp trap kills virtually 100% of all of the wasps that it catches which means that unlike other traps it does not cause swarm feeding and will not make your wasp problem worse.
